Edmonton’s own Greg Gazin to share stage with Dr. John Gray

Credits Toastmasters for making it possible

Edmonton, AB, March 3, 2014 – New Entrepreneurs Toastmasters Club is pleased to announce that one of its long-time members, Distinguished Toastmaster Greg Gazin, has been selected to speak on stage alongside world-class and world-renowned authors and speakers including Dr. John Gray (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus) and Arkadi Kuhlmann (Founder, ING Direct) and other at DEXIO 2014 being held in Edmonton on March 8th, 2014.

“All of our club members are proud of Greg’s success and accomplishments. He is an example of what can be achieved through Toastmasters. Greg’s tireless work and focused leadership has made an enormous positive impact not just on our club but on the greater Toastmaster community as well,” says New Entrepreneurs Club President, Noel Bentley.

Gazin says he’s honoured having been asked to share his entrepreneurial journey, which began when he met Apple founder Steve Jobs while attending a conference in California in 1986 as a University of Alberta student.

His transformation as an entrepreneur blossomed once he joined Toastmasters, and began attending their weekly meetings in Edmonton. “I started with butterflies in my stomach trying to answer a question in front of a group I didn’t know.” But those butterflies didn’t stop him from being elected District 42 Governor and overseeing more than 260 clubs and more than 5000 members in Alberta in Saskatchewan.

Greg, known as “The Gadget Guy”, has achieved success as an entrepreneur and as a Tech columnist and blogger. He has branched out as a speaker, presenter, author and a mentor to other Toastmasters. “I credit Toastmasters for getting me out from behind the keyboard, to out in front of audiences, to places and into situations I’ve never dreamed of,” Gazin said.

New Entrepreneurs Toastmasters Club is one over 14,000 clubs of Toastmasters International a non-profit educational organization founded in 1924 that teaches people how to become better speakers and leaders and more confident in front of an audience.
